Elizabeth Little President
Elizabeth is a recreational sailboat racing enthusiastic with a career in ethics and legal administration, and a lifelong commitment to volunteerism. She is an outgoing Director of the StFYC having been involved with, and lead, various Club committees.
Paul Heineken Vice President
Paul is a longtime competitive dinghy sailor, windsurfer and supporter of junior sailing. A past Commodore of the St. Francis Yacht Club, Paul has been a leader of the Junior Committee and many other yacht club committees.
Walt Spevak Treasurer
Walt grew up sailing scows at Lake Okoboji, IA and other Midwest lakes. These days he races ILCA’s (aka Lasers) in Masters and open regattas both in the SF Bay Area and around the world while splitting time between Northern California and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Mexico.
Rolf Kaiser Past President
Rolf Kaiser is an active racer in the J/105 fleet with his boat "Donkey Jack". He has been an advisor for the Treasure Island Sailing Center and is currently on the Board of Directors of the St. Francis Yacht Club.
Pamela Healy Past President
Pam grew up sailing on SF Bay. She won a Bronze Medal at the '92 Olympic Games in the Women’s 470 crewing for JJ Fetter. She has held the prestigious Yachtswoman of the Year titles at both the St. Francis Yacht Club and the San Francisco Yacht Club.
William M. LeRoy Founder and President Emeritus
Bill has been a director of the Foundation since its inception in 1985. Under then-Commodore Ed Brovelli, he worked with legal and non-profit experts to construct the beginnings of the organization. Bill is passionate about the sport of sailing, and is committed to the support of young and competitive sailors.
Molly Carapiet
Molly is an avid racer. She grew up racing on San Francisco Bay, was a 5 time All-American sailor at Yale University, and was an Olympic aspirant in the 470, Europe Dinghy and 49erFX. She continues to enjoy match racing, team racing and foiling on her new Waszp.
William J. Hoehler
Bill Hoehler is one of the original directors of the St. Francis Sailing Foundation. He has been sailing and involved with sailing for over 50 years. He currently sails a J/105 because talented young people are still willing to race with him.
Kimball Livingston
Kimball is a lifestyle sailor and sailing writer with an ethic of service to the sport. His interests range from youth development to Olympic support to the history of yachting, especially the history of yachting in California. On the racecourse, he catches an occasional lucky shift.
Mike Martin
Mike has an extensive career in high performance sailing. He is a multiple world champion in both the 505 and the Australian 18 Foot Skiff classes, and was the Director of Rules and Umpiring for the 34th America’s Cup. Mike also races foiling kiteboards out of the St. Francis Yacht Club.
John Pernick
John grew up racing Sabots and Lasers in Southern California, he was Co-Captain of the Harvard Sailing Team and a two-time All-American, and benefitted from the Foundation's support during his 1996 Laser Olympic Campaign. John is now part of the reigning World Champion Skeleton Key J/111 team.
Al Sargent
Al is a lifelong sailor that's competed nationally and internationally, mainly in Lasers, Vanguard 15s, J/105s, and J/24s.
Peter B. Stoneberg
Peter has been a yacht racing enthusiast for many years and has owned and raced boats large and small. He has been associated with the Foundation as board member and advisor, and was the architect of the Foundation’s investment strategies. Peter has over 20 years of experience as a technology industry entrepreneur.
