Bill has been a director of the Foundation since its inception in 1985. Under then-Commodore Ed Brovelli, he worked with legal and non-profit experts to construct the beginnings of the organization. Bill is passionate about the sport of sailing, and is committed to the support of young and competitive sailors. He has campaigned his own racing sailboats over the years, sailing the Bay and the oceans, and has a complete understanding of how hard it is to go out on the water and win. It is never easy. Help from friends, family, and Foundation allows sailors to go forward. Bill retired after 45 years as a CPA, and continues his involvement with sailing at the St. Francis Yacht Club and Cruising Club of America.
