I am honored to have served as an advisor to the St. Francis Sailing
Foundation and to now serve as liaison to the StFYC Board of
Directors. In 1991 I was the first StFYC Yachtswoman of the Year,
having won the 470 World Championships with teammate JJ Fetter.
I won the prestigious award again in 1992 after winning a bronze
medal in the Barcelona Olympics, again with JJ. Being a member of
the most successful US Sailing Team in history was impactful and
impressed upon me the responsibility and duty to give back to the
future generation of sailors.
I am Vice President of the US Sailing Olympic Alumni Association
and also serve as an advisor to the US Sailing Youth Committee. I
care deeply about leading by example and making sure our juniors
have support with their goals and aspirations.
I also enjoy hands on volunteering with at Treasure Island Sailing
Center, mentoring our youth sailors and our Olympians. The skills
that these young sailors learn are easily transferable to other
areas of their lives and empowering them to be the very best
