Michael was born into a life on the water. With his family, he began cruising to Catalina as a child, and starting sailing Sabots at age 6 in Newport Beach. He is a multiple All American and multiple Collegiate National champion at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Team Racing is one of his favorite types of sailing, and he won the ISAF Team Racing World Championship in 2015. Now sailing in the Etchells class as tactician, Michael has lead his teams to win the last two Biscayne Bay Series, the 2016 North American Championships, and a 2nd place at the 2016 Etchells Worlds. Michael is a co-founder and COO of the brand Edward Field, which manufactures high quality carrying goods in the USA.
